With the fall days slowly leaving, families are spending their last of the warm days at Johnson’s Corner Farm to get in the spirit. With so much to do and being very family oriented it’s a great way to spend the day.
The most popular attraction at the farm, that runs all season ,is the hayride. On weekdays the hayrides run from ten to five on the hour. On weekends the rides run from ten to five continuously. Each season the hayride will take you on a beautiful tour of the farm and eventually drop you off at the specific pumpkin patch for that season. In the fall the pumpkin patch is always filled with eager children dying to make Jack-o- lanterns and parents trying to find the smallest pumpkin possible.
Another feature of the hayride is the corn maze. At the entrance of the maze, an employee gives you a map explaining the objective of the maze which is, obviously, to find your way through while hole punching the checkpoints you reach on the map in order to get a free hayride the next time you visit the farm.
Currently the farm is holding the “Fall Harvest Festival.” The festival includes hayrides to the pumpkin picking, live music, and a food tent. This festival is going on every weekend in October. The farm will be holding a Halloween party on October 27th and 28th. There will be stations set up for candy and free hayrides for any child in costume. On November 1st popcorn, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower picking begins.
The farm also features its very own farmers market. The produce is freshly picked right on the farm. The market sells sweet corn, Jersey tomatoes, apples, peaches, strawberries, blueberries and more!
This farm is especially great for fun in the fall. Johnson Farm provides a fun way to soak up the last of the warm fall days as we approach the cold winter.
