Elevator Problems
November 12, 2019
The elevator in the school was broken since June and was recently fixed. By law, all public buildings that are more than one story tall must have an elevator.
There were no fines involved in our school not having an elevator. The reason for fixing the elevator was to make it more convenient for moving furniture and for students to move around the school.
For students who were not able to access upper and lower level classrooms, their classes were moved to the main floor. The problem with the elevator was a complicated situation involving the hydraulics that allows the elevator to move up and down, and the piping that moves this fluid through the system. The elevator passed inspection on November 1.
