In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the Cherry Hill West community has been proudly working to help with relief efforts. On November 9, the teachers held a jeans day fundraiser that generated nearly $475 in 30 minutes of donation collecting. The funds were donated to the American Red Cross emergency relief efforts.
Then on November 13, the Health and Physical Education Department sponsored a Volleyball Tournament to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief. Several teams entered with “The Dalmatians” coming out the winner, even defeating the faculty team. Students from the Varsity Club helped with food sales and tournament organization. Approximately $230 was raised and presented to the American Red Cross. The West community wishes to thank everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts.
