Cherry Hill West’s annual Activities Fair took place in the Walsh gym this past Friday. Clubs that wanted to participate had to sign up with Student Activities before getting a display table. Some of the clubs included Royal Purple Majesties, Cross Country, Women in Sports, Asian Culture Club, Latinos at West, Model UN, West Film Society, the Lion’s Roar Newspaper, and the African American Culture Club.
From LB1 through LB2, the gym was buzzing with excitement. Some tables had music or candy, and others had colorful decorations. In addition to the students who eat lunch in Walsh, there was a constant flow of people coming into the gym to explore all the clubs that West has to offer. The Activities Fair highlighted many of West’s popular clubs, but there are still so many clubs that did not attend the fair. Look out for posters and flyers around the school to see if there’s a meeting for a club you might be interested in!
With the annual influx of freshmen, the Activities Fair always comes at a good time to get the new students interested in extracurricular activities. It is a great opportunity for the freshmen to meet new people and get involved in all the different aspects of the West community.
Overall, the 2024 West Activities Fair was a great success, with most clubs getting many new signups. Hopefully, the clubs at West continue to flourish and include people from all over the school. Stay tuned for more events highlighting West and the many clubs it has to offer!
